Had similar experience on an international flight Monday. Sitting in the 3 in the middle of the 767, my FA said only one while the FA on the other aisle happily gave two to our partner. I will say they were very good about coming through regularly and offering additional drinks and we didn't feel the need to ask for two at a time after that.
