I disagree. Any rational person would pay more if they determined that the benefits of the higher fare were worth it. For example, as a 1K, I almost never buy the cheapest fare for intercontinental flights because it's not upgradeable with a GPU.

However, if you replace "available" with "that meets their requirements", or take into account more than just the dollar amount on the bottom line, I would agree.
