In that context, perhaps the value of wines tipped down the sink may be more/equally significant. I don't know what BA currently serves in First but on each of the two sole-passenger-in-First flights mentioned in my post above, Dom Perignon champagne was opened and I had only one or two glasses from each bottle. I do not know what the airline paid for this champagne but I see Tesco has a six bottle case for £660. BA would pay nowhere near £100 per bottle. and it will also be free of paying duty which is a large part of the cost of a bottle of alcohol bought in a super market
