Thanks for all your comments. I'm under no illusions about this being an actual upgraded product, just happy that I'm getting a great deal and OW Sapphire gave me access to the seats on a redemption even when the agent said it would not.

Out of interest, when booking AA with avios, and with OW Sapphire (not aadvantage) would you still have access to these MCE seats?

Of course I'm not fully content and I will be regularly checking to try and upgrade this. If I think I've got a good deal now, to get the itinerary in first class for 62,500, especially in the 77w from LAX, would be amazing!
