Future airline mile earning

With the upcoming devals with united on international travel is it better to start earning miles in another program if I am interested in premium travel? Right now I am earning mostly UR points and have miles saved up in my united account. I know international premium travel is taking the brunt of the deval and I was wondering if United and UR points are still the way to go or if I should look at another program if interested to build miles in. I currently have united silver status but do not believe I will reach the next level on my travel. Based in NYC. Destinations I am interested in are Japan, China, Turkey and Brazil. I thought Turkey could be a stopover on the way to one of the asian destinations.
