How do we know that? I don't see where OP specified the type of redemption, and doesn't explain what AAA-BBB-CCC represents. Maybe I'm having an off day (likely), but seems it could just as easily be two one way awards (LAX-HKG-SFO) as a single one way with stopover (NRT-JFK-LHR)...
