I've flown both products in the past year as well. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I thought the new LH seat is a REALLY tight fit, especially when trying to sleep (I'm about 6'2, and not a heavy person). The US Envoy seat is far superior for sleeping, in my opinion. When sleeping on my side on the LH seat, my knees were literally bumping up against the seat next to me, if I was faced that way. Fairly awkward at times.

Otherwise, I think the LH product is superior (I was in the upper deck on the 747-8), as food and service are better. But like I said, I just didn't love the seat, which is a big component of business class travel and worth considering.

I honestly would pick the US seat for the overnight flight, and the LH seat for the daytime flight back, if that's even possible (probably not ).
