I was surprised how big the 'blank' was on row 50 and personally I would avoid it at all costs. Look forward to your report/experiences.
Hi, Peter01, I'm not doing too well on reporting back on the UD CW cabin (see note 253 on p17 of this thread). Have managed it once out of four flights, due to two OpUps and one PUG. So now I've tried 1 (see note 220 on p15 of this thread), 4E and last Sunday 4F. My wife and I were in 52K/J on New Year's eve (the A380 did a 270degree tour of the fireworks but you had to be in A/B to have seen them!).

Interestingly, I have had no problems with galley noise - in fact, one of the cabin attendants on BA25 on Sunday said, we are aware that there can be galley noise because the aircraft is so quiet, please let us know immediately if there is any problem. As usual it depends on the crew - and they were super! I also swear by Boot's wax earplugs - try them!

Also can't comment on headroom above window seats on the UD - my wife claimed 52J and that was it - Mr Window Seat was in the aisle! Will try better next time - I still want to see if 53A/J are the new 64A/J (or 14A/J). But I would avoid 50B/K like the plague unless you like the gentle flutter of curtain around your seat - that certainly was a poor design issue. I also wouldn't want to sit in 50A/K.
