This has nothing to do with UA whatsoever and UA owes OP nothing. OP voluntarily swapped seats with the poacher and that's the end of it.
Whether it was the right or the wrong thing to do is a judgment call for OP and not the rest of the pack.
Clear to me from the OP that the FA's were ready willing & able to move the poacher to her assigned seat.
