To be fair to Ett Hem, at least I understand what WSJ and TB see in the place. It is the most social hotel I have ever been a guest. But they didn't suffer through the dark, damp closet upstairs that is room #8. And when they asked the chef to cook them something, they got what they asked for. I, most assuredly, didn't. In fact, the three meals I had at Ett Hem were all memorably bad: fish and grease and bread and grease. And don't ask for a glass of wine from a bottle that is not open. The meal(s) were not the worse I have ever had ... THAT award goes to 'Asian Night' at Thurnhers-Alpenhof in Zurs Austria. Whatever was on the plate that night was memorably gruesome.
