Does the form of payment used to purchase a ticket affect Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) earned?

The majority of payment forms on eligible tickets, including Delta travel vouchers, count toward earning MQDs.

However, please note that only the portion of the base fare and carrier-imposed surcharges paid in currency for BusinessElite®, First or Business Class tickets purchased through Pay with Miles is eligible for earning MQDs. Miles will count toward base fare and carrier-imposed surcharges before taxes and fees. Therefore, the portion of a ticket paid for in miles does not count toward earning MQDs.
