I wasn't saying it was helpful, I was drawing attention to the fact that BA make a point in selling a priority lost luggage service as part of the elite benefits.
I have been through a lost luggage experience thank you, on my inbound thankfully, but still a frustrating experience.... my case was never found and all I ended up with was a standard fixed payout (lesson learned for having a lack of insurance even when just visiting family).
