I'm here now and enjoying two hotels this week. First I was in a suite at the Sheraton. The Sheraton rooms and Club room were recently renovated and it's pretty nice. It is also very central and not far from the Grand Hotel. As long as you have a suite with Club access, it is just about as luxurious as it gets here.

Then I switched (for business reasons) to the Hilton. It is kind of 3 hotels in one, perhaps due to the history of the hotel. It is located on the other side of the old city (Gamla Stan), but also has decent suites and a newish Executive Club.

Normally we don't talk about Sheratons and Hiltons in this forum, but when it comes to Stockholm there is little alternative at the high end. And I must say that the service has been excellent at both hotels. For what it's worth, almost none of the staff I've encountered are actually Swedish.
