Nope. I called 6 times and each time got more or less the same answer: even the EWR-(IAD)-BOS legs wouldn't work because there is a more direct YVR-BOS available (albeit not in saver awards, standard only).

I spoke to a Supervisor 3 of those times and they confirmed this. Oh well.

Oh, and on my flights that I did take, 1 of the 2 legs didn't even trigger me on the Upgrade list even though it said I was eligible (as a 1K on miles w/CCard). I didn't even try and protest; F was full anyhow, but it left an especially bad taste in my mouth. Welcome to the new United, eh?
