Entering the A/C seems cramped and the first class galley is also way to small and cramped and the first class bathroom is way too tiny as well...
I noticed in coach that with the 3 lavatorys all in the back... many coach passengers had NO RESTROOM to use for 45 minutes of beverage service...
I think this small bathroom violates the Americans with Disabilities act...
It appears that Delta is trying to cram the same amount of passengers from the 757-200 into the much smaller 737-900....you can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig...in this case, all the lipstick on it , it is still a small 737...
plain and simple 737
This plane is not suitable for cross country flights...it is horrid
Delta needs to stop delivery of any more of these birds until they can modify the layout..the fix...
Delta needs to pull 2 to 3 rows of seats out of coach...then
1.Enlarge the entrance area and expand the 1st class galley
2.Enlarge the first class bathroom
3.add a few extra inches of legroom in first
4.fix the tilt issue on the TV screens
5.put a bathroom in front of coach
6.enlarge the 3 coach bathrooms
If Delta wanted to be proud of this aircraft they could if they wanted to...instead the money grab continues....
Unfortunately, DL isn't going to get rid of them. Even if there was some sort of revolt and they started losing tons of money all of a sudden, they have 100 ordered and many already delivered. I doubt they could easily cancel or get rid of them
Also, if they removed two rows of Y seats, they would basically have a glorified 737-800. And they wouldn't even be able to get more range out of the 739s. I just checked the stats according to DL, and the 73W, 738, and 73H all get the same, if not slightly more range than the 739 (and it's supposed to be an -ER).
