AMS is always a much easier connection -- no trains or shuttle buses to ride -- it's a one-roof terminal. CDG can be very difficult: marathon hikes, trains / buses, protracted security delays. Terminals spread out all over; it's as if CDG wasn't actually designed as a connecting hub but had that role forced on it post-construction, while AMS is a natural hub. CDG versus AMS is no contest... one of the very few non-debatable contests you'll find on FT.
