For me, BA has over the last few years gone from great to just ok and that's across all classes.
Still my first choice for s/h but l/h is now about 75% other airlines.
BA has been cutting service levels since 2002 this isn't a recent phenomenon. Broadly speaking the first time I flew CW in 1996 the meal service was better than BA F meals are now and the F service was better than CX F is now.

What is now happening is fiddling at the margins compared to the product evisceration which happened in the early noughties.

Against this context (and broad commercial success for BA as a result) it is really difficult to argue that the sky is falling in for BA because of product cuts as some will continue to insist because now you have to ask for eyeshades in F.

Now I really thought the sky was falling in when BA stopped offering a choice of rose and white Krug along with Dom Perignon in F
