One member of the party needs to come back sooner, and I am going to book him a new return flight using points, but my question is, should I try to separate him onto his own record locator to avoid problems on the return for the rest of the group? If so do I need to do that through Wideroe?
I would assume that you would do it through United. I would just call them and tell them that you need to separate the booking. Just keep in mind that you need to have all the seats reserved together prior to flying. Also if you are Elite and the person split off on a separate locator is non elite, then that person would not qualify for your Elite Benefits.
If the first United agent refuses to split the booking, just hang up and call back
