ok I read the FAQ regarding upgrade stickers

and I looked at AA site and it said for those without status:
AAdvantage non-elite status members* 24 hours prior to departure

* Applies only when traveling on a full-fare Economy Class ticket (Y or B fares)

I have tickets Farecode N and G so I am out of luck and should even try to buy stickers correct since I do not have status?
