Why? What's the upside for UA or its passengers?
UA doesn't have any ULH that need the 8X, nor any good prospects for starting ULH.
The 9X improves CASM a bit, but it's a big plane to fill from a multi-hub network and we don't know what the A351 cancellation terms are.
