Now.. having said that.. The fancy new J seats on AA's 77w are less versatile than others.
Yes. All the controls are there, but they don't do too much in between up, recline and sleep.
Other airlines allow more tweaking.
Also, I like being closer to the window. A while back I wrote a long thing comparing JAL F to CX F talking specifically about proximity to the window.
I like to look out.
