That's my experience and that reminds me why I prefer that side when I'm on the A321 when I normally go for the ABC side.
Of course I'm not 100% sure they're fixed in the expanded width or whether they hadn't bothered adjusting it as it makes no difference to the overall width as the crew seat is fixed.
