Hi all,

We are in a fix regarding a Doha STPC and need some advice.

We bought tickets on QR ORD-CCU-ORD for my elderly in-laws. On the return on Jan 24, they have 21 hours layover in Doha.

We called the Chicago office BEFORE booking to confirm they could avail the STPC offer and were assured by the QR agent that all would be fine.

Then we called the Indian office yesterday and they said no way, the fare class doesn't qualify and said to call Chicago to check.

We called the US customer care number and were point blank told that QR will not offer the STPC or change the flight to a direct connection without the $250 fee--in other words they take no responsibility for what their Chicago rep told us.

Any advice on how to proceed to correct this injustice? Any QR reps on here?
