Had a couple flights tonight and the difference in service truly is unbelievable between the two sides. The purser on my flights (fortunately had the same crew) barely let my glass empty before offering more and was able to do a better service pre-departure than most sCO crews can manage over the course of an entire flight (e.g., offered to hang coats almost immediately upon seating, drink orders, refills if requested). After doing the economy service on a 319, the economy crew came up and offered to help in F.
To be fair, I have had some excellent sCO crews and some incredibly lazy sUA crews, but it seems like the 80/20 rule applies pretty aptly.
