My DL AMEX has minimum spend on it. Applied last year just for some some bonus miles to top up orphan miles and redeemed. Most of my spent is on SPG AMEX and last two years I've only flown less than 15 paid segments short haul economy on any airline.

I did find a one way JFK-LAX Z fare for $1200 ai. Might be worth enrolling in this for the 100K offer.
Hm, I guess I am wrong then (i.e. they didn't target people with large spent on other airlines using credit card data from Amex). By the way, you can do NYC-SEA return in BE for about $1190.
