We are travelling with our four kids (5-12), arriving at EWR at 9pm on a flight from LHR. We depart EWR the next morning at 6am. Realistically, we're not going to get to our rooms by 10pm. I figure we'll need to be back in the terminal for 5am, so it's going to be a short night.

I figure the easiest option with the least amount of brain damage is the Marriott, right? My plan is to put the kids to bed in one room, have a couple of drinks and then go to bed with Mrs LE in the other. I don't care about breakfast or amenities or anything like that. I'm not that fussy about price. I have gold status with most chains, like Hilton and SPG and RC Rewards, but I don't really care about that either. I want a clean, 'nice' room to put my head down.

I make the mistake of staying at the Sheraton a few years ago. What a pit. And I don't fancy some endless shuttle ride in a crappy van in the night/morning either.

I think I've probably answered my own question, but should I be looking at anything else other than the Marriott?
