I'm a little curious.
Right now I'm weighing between getting the Amex Platinum Card and the United MileagePlus Club card from Chase for the sake of travel benefits, and lounge access is a big part of both.
Can anyone tell me how the PriorityPass Select lounges compare to United Clubs (domestically) and Star Alliance clubs (internationally) when it comes to quality and availability? I mean, I know PriorityPass has 600+ lounges worldwide, but when I search domestically in major airports I notice that a LOT of domestic PriorityPass lounges are, in fact, United Club lounges, which aren't accessible by the PriorityPass Select benefit with Amex.
I tend to travel more domestically than internationally, but I place much more importance on the airport experience quality of my international trips (and my rare long-haul domestic trips), just because they tend to have stopovers and longer airport wait times.
Also, first post on FT!
