Thank you for your thoughts Unterwegs, now that I know who will be obliged (FJ) I have checked their T&C's and you are right... first come first served seems to be the rule.

My paranoia comes from previous experience with this airline who have a habit of chaotic management. I have checked alternative routes and will be suitably armed with useful information!
