I was nearly refused entry to the UK after my passport got wet. Officer said she couldn't read a couple of stamps and refused to stamp it. Only let me in by stamping a loose sheet which she stapled in. Not sure what that was all about, was in 2008. I was worried how I would get into Schengen then back thru UK to Canada but a thief took care of that problem...
