I am sorry but though I hope BA improve their priority luggage performance, I tend to think most people who take carry on luggage have no real lives!!?
And what about the excellent (and very frequent) job BA and other airlines do of miss-connecting or delaying (let alone losing) hold luggage?

I chose to check in a piece between BEY and TLS on new year's eve, not because I had to, but because it was heavy and I couldn't be bothered with it. I was in J and would have had plenty of space to stow it, and that bag sometimes travels with me in the overheads... but that day I chose to send it down the hatch.

Sod's law dictated the course of events. Plane from BEY arrived at 09:05 into T1. Plane to TLS left at 15:35 from T5 the same day... and yet even with six hours BA failed to get the bag to connect *

This happens to me at least twice a year and reminds me why I try as much as possible to travel with hand luggage only.

*I am glad to say that a swift email to GGL was forwarded to CR and their response was excellent both in terms of sorting the bag issue out and compensating me handsomely with Avios for being without my bag for 48 hours... but still.
