I still don't get the feeling you understand what will happen post Feb 1. If you change the routing in any way (i.e. moving from ORD-YYZ-YOW-FRA to ORD-YOW-FRA) it will likely reprice the whole ticket and you'll be out 20k miles plus the change fee.
