Yes, I had checked other cities but looked into it a little more after your suggestion. I'm still not finding much out there at the moment.

I'm leaning towards the double connection, I might do YUL instead of YYZ to YOW just because it leaves a little later in the morning. If I book it all now I can get it on the same PNR with the return flight just in case something comes up and I have to cancel it all (I'll only be out one fee). Then if a better departure segment opens up before Feb 1 I'll make a change (with a fee).

Thanks for all the comments, I haven't had much chance to use miles for international awards yet so I appreciate the feedback. I'm excited to try out the product on the 330 and also the LH 748.
