Just booking 2 return BA tickets for my wife and I to Paris, and upon payment I notice a £9 credit card charge. I cannot recall paying £9 before, so check the last few flights to see that the normal fee is just £4.50.

Now I presume they have doubled this because I am attempting to purchase 2 tickets, but as this is still only 1 transaction, how on earth can they justify this?

Or am I missing something obvious here? My understanding is that the CC charge is to cover the payment processing costs they incur?
