We may have a huge dilemma. I recently purchased a solo round-trip flight ticket from US to Europe for my wife. It was purchased through Vayama and flying with Lufthansa.

Here's the issue. Her flight ticket is under our married name. She's not yet a US Citizen but a Green Card holder. Her European passport is under her maiden name. We're having a lot of difficulty updating her passport to our married name because all of these lengthy processes we have to go through and it won't be settled before her flight in two months.

Even if she brings all supporting documents; passport, green card, marriage license, I suspect they might not even let her through.

I called both the agency and airline and they can't/won't do anything regarding a name change on the ticket. Especially since it's non-refundable (silly us for being cheap).

Are we pretty much screwed?
