Sorry, I see I still wasn't clear. You are right that it's just economy on the regional flight so that's all I was trying to book for that segment. There is no saver space in economy for that leg on that day that can make the connection. I'm not really eager to spend a night in Ottawa but figured it's technically an option if I need to make it work.

So I'm not sure if you're saying to book the YOW-FRA segment and try to figure out how to get to YOW later (since even adding it as a separate ticket would "just" be 10k miles at the saver level if/when it opens up).

ETA: The full one-way (ORD-YOW-FRA) shows up as an option on united.com but only shows up as at the standard level due to the first leg not being available at the saver level. If I search YOW-FRA saver space is available. I was assuming there is no way to include a standard economy leg on a saver business class award, or at least it's not pricing out that way.
