Just be mindful that if your CX sectors are CX-coded rather than BA codeshare, you'll get a disappointing drip-feed of Avios. QF is marginally better but still rather tightfisted with Avios if in Y.
If your TA are doing the bookings, make sure all sectors are BA codeshares to allow for UUA or at least split the booking if you're feeling brave about unprotected connections.

Fortunately I am allowed the option of doing my own bookings for flights which I now always do so that I can be totally in control of what is being booked for me. Thanks for the extra info - all much appreciated.
