I will be interested to see how new AA balances LGA, and what routes see reductions to support the (surprise to me) new destinations from LGA.
AA had to divest 17 slot pairs at LGA, 5 of which were leased to WN. So effectively, AA had to divest 12 slot pairs that they were using.
To offset, they are discontinuing service to ATL, CLE, and MSP which, between the, used 14 slot pairs.
So that's net +2 available slot pairs after ending service. But AA is adding 10 new destinations (and possibly more than once daily) which means some existing routes will be losing frequencies.
ETA: Due to redundant service, CLT will certainly see some of these reductions.
