I'm curious about the success rate of DM and PM getting upgraded on domestic coach awards. I haven't been very lucky which makes me question if the process does indeed work. And yes, I know GM also gets this benefit.

For those DM and PM who flew on a coach award ticket can you comment on the following:

-Did you clear at your upgrade window?
-If not, did you have issues with the battlefield upgrade because of the award ticket?
-Did you feel that the upgrade was treated differently on an award ticket versus revenue?
-If you didn't get the upgrade, did you feel the process worked and FCM was the culprit?

The website makes it clear that DM is second to only "Y" fares for upgrade priority and in this order:
5 calendar days in advance for revenue B, M, S, H, Q, K, L, U, T, X, V, E class fares* followed by Award Tickets and Pay with Miles

So in theory a DM on an award ticket should clear before any PM, GM, and SM, unless an SWU is used, but after ALL other DMs have cleared. Notwithstanding IRROPS, and shena...
