Maybe they prefer M&M over M&S. Maybe they don't wanna transit IST or support a Turkish company. Perhaps they'd like the nice product to ZRH, even though the TLV-IST leg is short. Just some possibilities
If you are a business or legal professional you know that time is money. The flying time of LX would be much longer in duration than on TK. Plus, even if you miss your connection on TK on the return, TK has over 120 weekly flights to TLV so rebooking would be easier. Therefore, TK should win this one.
