I will be passing through DOH later this month, and my situation is that when I booked my ticket, since the cheapest combination in J was with a later connection flight (earlier connection was much more expensive), I choose that.

In my case, do I qualify just for the STPC? I don't need a hotel. Can I still just approach the counter on arrival and request for the STPC? Main thing is that I don't really want to pay again for a visa (current one that I have expires just 3 short of my arrival ) for this short 9 hours transit.
