I have read of someone getting booted from due to disingenuous use (actually make that overuse) of the BRG, for repeated 1 night bookings, making him the customer IHG could afford not to have!

I also remember a couple of years ago a glitch emerged which allowed huge duplicate point earning possibilities and led to a few account closures amongst those who really "pigged out".

I must admit I've only heard of IHG closing accounts, not any other hotel group, mind you that's probably because it seems IHG is really the most vulnerable to these exploits.
