Along the same lines, there is a Sydney Australia and a Sydney Canada. I have heard stories about people booking plane trips to the wrong Sydney.

Wasn't this on the news a few months ago? Some Turkish Airlines pax booked a trip to Dhaka, Bangladesh when they meant to go to Dakar, Senegal?
