I have AA Gold status expiring on 2/28/2104. I have just booked award travel for my family in June from ORD to LHR, and I was able to select Main Cabin Extra seats.

My Gold status will have expired by the time I fly, so should I expect my seats to be reassigned? Has anyone successfully held on to MCE seats in such a situation.
