When presented at front desk, even if the amount is lower than the room rate for the night.. the hotel applies full credit towards the bill. For example, some nights were at a $199 rate plus taxes and fees, but they applied 3 certificates x $100 per night onto the room bill. Some night packages I purchased was for a rate of $549 plus taxes and fees. So for my stay, 3 certificates per night were applied regardless of the rate.

Per above, the certificates were purchased and advertised for sole use at Fairmont Banff Springs and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. This is not a system wide gift card sale promo. Just a promo that is specific to these two hotels and valid from around middle September to Middle April.
