OK... where are the lawyers?
I have a contract with AMEX. It says that I pay a certain sum and AMEX provides me certain benefits.
DL creates a situation where AMEX cannot provide a substantive benefit promised within my contract with AMEX.
AMEX reps say it was not the intent of AMEX that the promised benefit be removed... that the loss of the benefit was due to a unilateral action by DL.
I'm sure there is some loophole in the fine print that gets am ex off the hook.
At least Am Ex will refund the prorate difference on an annual fee unlike Expert Flyer when Delta made the info unavailable.
