If it is a redemption, perhaps do one in each direction to compare (I assume you aren't using a 2-4-1 given that you are considering CX). I would probably go with BA out and CX back to get the CCR on the way out and better ground experience at HKG (if there is any, I have never flown CX F) on the way back but that's my personal opinion.
