Unless you have a relaxed schedule, or a number of places to visit scattered over the city, then on a business trip to Jakarta i reckon you are best staying as close as possible to your "office".

Traffic isn't always quite as bad as people make out: but often it is! Especially at peak hours. And even-more especially, when it rains at peak hours

Without a metro/skytrain you'll be in a taxi. Not the end of the world, but the buffer needed for transits needs some getting used to, and it will eat into your time.


If you have a local office, or clients to visit, I'd be inclined to ask them where they recommend.
