It would be no brainer for me, too. The Essex House wins.

I've stayed in both, although my sample size is pretty small.

Room size - JW wins. I posted on the Lexington thread about how small my room was. I had to put away the ironing board so I could move around my room. Bathroom at the Lexington was tiny...no place to even put toiletries in the morning.

Room comfort - JW wins. Old world charm (some would say it's just "old" but I like that). Lexington is "modern"...nothing detracting from comfort but.

Amenities - JW has the lounge, but since you'll be there over the weekend, I don't think that applies.

Staff - (nothing to really compare)
