Stayed here a couple of decades ago when it was part of the Hotel Nikko chain. Great location and some great park views. However it is the only hotel where I was expected to stay in a room without a bed (the staff told me "many of our Japanese guests prefer to use a floor mat") - naturally I declined.

I expect it will be a good addition to the Marriott NYC offerings.
