Regarding hotels, we totally understand that we have to make compromises and we are happy to stay in good but not perfect places for the one night stays. For SF, LA the Aman and Vegas where will will stay for longer times, we will select the best possible hotel for us, incl. best possible room.

Agree that there are many driving days, but we prefer driving shorter distances and make a stop. Will look at the stops between LA and the Aman, though.
